Tire Comparasions
« on: February 23, 2004, 06:30:53 AM »
Has anyone ever ran the "Dunlop Radial Mud Rover"?
If so how does it work in a little bit of everything, mud, snow, sand and rocks. I ask this because i'm looking for a good all around tire plus good looks ;D, I have seen them for sale for 75 bucks each compared to goodyear and bfg's that are atleast 120 each.

Thanks,
Nathan

I just put a set of the 30X9.5s on my Track Monday.  $505.xx out the door.  I haven't really tested them much yet, but will solve that issue this weekend locally and next weekend on some ORV mountain trails in Hot Springs, AR.  I'll keep you posted on the performance of the tires.
Also, I read an article at I believe it was 4X4review.com on the tires.  Decent all around ratings.

If they are really 15x7.5" rims they'll fit just fine. I didn't think stock Sammy rims were that wide, but I could be wrong as I don't own a Sammy. I've run 31x9.50 Swamper Tsl's on stock Trackick rims ( 15x5.5") and they worked well too.

this is more or less my motorcycle experience with dunlop in pretty much the same words.  not a fan of their products in general, even though the tread pattern looks pretty capable for what I might drive in down here.

stock Sam rims are 5.5 and if you run wider rims with 0 offset the rims are gonna be way close to the leafs in the back, you gonna need to push the rims outward just a little if you run wide tires.

I would just use the stock shock length, ran them for years without any issues.  You just won't have the mad flex.  :D  If you just flip your stock spring pads from one side of the axle to the other the stock position doesn't change.

We just put some 30x9.5 on 5.5 Tracker rims, worked fine.  Might be a little tight.

Yea i swaped them from side to side up front. rite is on the left and left is on the right is that what you mean?the shock mounting bolt on the pad is now on the inside. should i just switch them back? i read that i had to do that upfront with a spoa.
