Saving a 91 Tracker from The Scrap Yard
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:54:20 AM »
Picked up a 91 tracker and Sidekick for free when I bought the tires.  Rebuilding the Tracker.  Using the back door and frame from the Sidekick to close in the Tracker back to make sort of a pickup.  Will post more pics as I work on it.

New body supports in place.  Need to complete the passenger side floor.  Floor bed in place.  Back window in place.  2" body lift installed.  Will most likely use the hood to close in the roof.

Kudos for taking on this project, looks like your tracker had about the same rust problem I got into..... Nothing some more metal and welding can't take care of.

These is always some interest in a "pickup" style bed, I cant wait to your results.
Difficult takes a day. Impossible takes a week.

picked up a used bed liner to complete the bed portion.  Will most likely use parts of it to complete the back of inside of the cab.  Driver's side floor done - passenger side floor near completion.  Rear cab enclosure done.  Front bumper fab near completion.  Lot's of body work to do.  I'll be posting some pics over the next few days of my progress.

Some updated pics - progress has been slow but steady.  2" body and suspension lift installed.  Front Bumper needs to be completely welded up.  Back cab installed-just finishing touches to be done.  Duraliner box liner has been cut up and fitted for box-just need to piece together for a one piece fitment.
