Gv1600, big tyres and a wee lift
« on: December 27, 2009, 02:56:10 PM »
Hi all, newbie.
I have a 2004 gv and want to raise it 2" using poly spring spacers and strut extensions from bits4vits, also want to put bigger tyres on, vitara has 16" alloys and I still want it to be comfortable to use as my every day road car. Already put on some wheel spacers, just needing a not of advice on what size of tyres to go for and some advice on the spring spacers etc. I think the tyres that are on just now are 235/65/16
All advice welcome.
Cheers geo

235 75 16 would be a good size, if they make them, I know I ran 235 75 15
until I got into the swampers, they were a good size, and fit well with a little
rubbing and just a 3" suspension lift

I would say order a set of spacers for the springs and work from there

The tire size you are running measures out to 28" according to the conversion chart.    A 245/75/R16 tire measures out to 30.5" and should be about right.
