Saw this Craigslist add and found it humorous.

Wow. Its still a good deal for $300. I could part it out for that.
Or I could fix the rear end and make an aircraft out of it.

When my swap was nearly completed but I hadn't yet had the hybrid driveshaft built (or, unfortunately, installed the parking brake cables), I did exactly that. I large-hoseclamped an aerosol can cap over the rear outlet of the transmission and tooled around in 4WD...er....fwd for a couple hundred miles. The only downside was that with my non-manual hubs, 4WD was only engaged with the engine running, so if I put the truck in Park and shut off the engine..... Park = Roll.

Hehe, sad... but yeah for $300 with the already hammered body, could be a good truggy base. Bit of sawzall & tube... Wonder what the frame looks like? *Reads Mike Hagen's mind* "Frame?? We don't need no steenkin FRAME!!" *Chop chop weld weld* "There, that'll fix it!!"
Beercheck, I must admit I've done that too, though with a bronc & only to get home after toasting a rear u-joint. Hey it sure beat walkin!!

I haven't even seen a trackick in craigslist for that low. Its a great price in the NW. the bad thing is he probably didn't cap off the d-line, but maybe he did.

I thought most trackicks went that low?? I've either seen them for 500 and under, or the classic CL people " I paid 15,000 10 years ago, so I will go as low as 10,000"
Mine was 400$, saftied, just picked up my girlfriend one for 550.

I just picked up a 92 Tracker 2dr. LSI 4wd for $200. Needs a lot of work including the infamous 'broken clutch pedal/busted firewall" syndrome.

Bad clutch cable or a clutch problem causes a restriction in cable operation, hence, tearing out the firewall and/or breaking the pedal shaft at the lever. So far I've determined that at least part of the problem was caused by the lever and pedal shaft alignment marks out by 30*.

Here's the lever with the end of the shaft still bolted on and arrows pointing to the alignment marks that are rotated approx. 30*.
