4.5" lift
« on: September 24, 2009, 04:03:40 AM »
A home brew lift using a 3 inch t6 aluminum spacers and 1.5" old man emu lift for the rear of my V6 grand vit with longer travel rear shock absorbers. Do I need to make the lower and upper suspension (lateral) arms adjustable? As of now, rear ride is stiff.

I forgot to mention that the panhard bar mounting has also been extended  to make the pan rod bar parallel with the rear axle. a 3/4" t6 spacer was also fabricated for the rear prop shaft and the transfer case cross member was dropped by 3/4".

What are you doing about the steering? People are wearing out inner tie rods with 2.5" lift, 4.5" without a rack drop is going to be KILLER on steering parts.

That's pretty clean looking, and not complicated at all. I wonder if that ZukiNation company ever figured that one out. ???
