Well I have been toying around with the idea to switch to and Auto, at least possibly next season, but I can't seem to find all my answers.. <this is where you guys come in>
I have a 94 Track with a 5 spd and wonder if I will notice an offroad improvement if I throw in a 3 spd? Or will it be a waste of time?
This Tracker is strictly offroad and will probably spent most of the time in 1st, so road manners can be discarded.
From what I understand the "actual" ratio of the 5spd will be lower, but due to the torque converter the automatic can end up being more.....I dont fully understand how that works out, So any insight or comments would be welcome.
