UJ rumble/vibration

I had a rumble start up on the way back from a greenlaning trip - went away if I went faster on the motorway, but I kept it down to 45mph

I had hoped it was mud in the wheels, but after a wash off it's still there. Seems to be coming from the transmission, so I thought -UJ-! ; I have a 2.5" spacer susp lift, and have just fitted a 2" block to the top of the diff, to "put things back where they were". If it is a UJ, has it been caused by the spacer, or was it the previous lack of a spacer ( 24 months) that caused the damage I wonder.

Our could it be wheel balance, fw hub, wheel bearing?? becasue there is also an audible squeek at low speed.

What should I look at first- guidence much appreciated!

More than likely a u joint is going bad and the squeaking is the needle berrings being ground to dust.  Easy to check just unbolt one end of the driveline and move the u joint around and look for broken cups.

You can often park on flat ground, set parking brake, put into neutral and wiggle the drive line.  If you see play in the joint between the shaft and the flange, you've got a u-joint issue.
