1) Competition News
Reno Rocks lived up to its name with the first ever live coverage of a rock crawl event. Pirate 4x4, with the help of Aspect Studios, did a fantastic job covering the 2 day event for those of us that couldn't make the trip. Thanks guys, and let's hope coverage like this continues!
To make things even sweeter for us, in Reno we witnessed the first win of 09' for Tracy Jordan and the Rock Bug in the pro-mod class! In the unlimited class Jessie Haines took home the win using all 50 degrees of turning that his Ultimate 60 Knuckles provided in his rear steer buggy to edge out the competition. The competition was intense and the tight course unforgiving to mistakes. We were impressed with all of the competitors and were thrilled to see Spidertrax Spider 9 axle components in 7 of the top 12 positions.
Round 4 of the W.E. Rock Western nationals is this weekend: July 18-19 in Oroville CA. Expect tons of action from this event, as this final battle will decide the series champs in both the unlimited and pro mod class.

3) Spidertrax Blog
Last month we told you about how Spidertrax has been using social media for live updates and information sharing. I just wanted to touch on it again as the quality and amount of information provided on the blog is outstanding. Last year when Tom started blogging and providing twitter updates, I thought it was a little geeky and struggled to find the same enthusiasm. However, as time passed, I started checking it out and found it very cool and informative. Today I find myself using blogs as a daily news source due to their ease and convenience!
One nice feature on the Spidertrax Blog is that you can subscribe to it (
http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=TheBlogOfSpidertrax&loc=en_US) and get updates when new content is added. On the blog page you can watch videos ranging from W.E.ROCK competitions to the heat treating process of the Spider 9 Axles used in the Rock Bug. You can also find links on the right side of the page, to pictures and threads about the current buzz in the off-road industry. Check it out and let us know what you think. If you have any questions or thoughts about the blog or the content in it, please feel free to visit the blog and leave your comments.
