XL-7 looks like a grand vitara/tracker stretched out since we are on the topic of pics as well here is mine updated

That's exactly what it is - with a slightly bigger engine to haul the slighty greater load.

Now all you need to do is lose the chrome door handle trim and she'll be looking quite snazzy.

how are you going to fix the gearing?? i want big tires to but 225/75/16 slow it down!

I have no problem with gearing. It's actually quite quick with these tires on it. Maybe the XL-7 auto has different gearing that the GV auto? The XL-7 has I believe a 9" rear end as opposed to the GV 7.5" rear.

The simple fact that it's an automatic makes a difference.  Lack of gearing KILLS 5th gear with manuals, but the auto buys some leeway.  And that's just speaking on-road;  it's multiplied (heh) off-road.

Yeah, I actually think the larger tires are better suited for the XL-7's gearing. If I ran around as fast as I do on these tires with the stock size one's, I'd be redlining it all the time. The larger diameter of these allows me to cruise around and not have to push the engine very hard.

even with 33"s that i have on my XL7, it still goes real well..........we are thinking of bringing t to the race track just for fun.....

keep in mind that the 180hp 2.7 that the xl7's have, makes a huge difference as well.......

I've allways driven a manual, but the auto in the Xl has pretty well placed shift points, and it's fairly smooth, so driving it is fun. Plus I like the auto better off road, won't burn through so many clutches while manuvering. And yeah, in an emergency, my wife can drive it.
