Hi All! New to the site & appreciate the information i have received. I have an 87 Sammy 1.6 16V and I'm getting ready to spend the $$$ on some tires and rims. I looking to run a 29" super swamper radial but I'm looking for a rim. Don't want to go too wide, thinking about chrome or aluminum, Got to have a little Bling. Any pics or suggestions?

Good thinkin on keepin the weight down,  I hear the swamper's are pretty beefy. Just remember, if you bash an aluminum on a rock hidden in the mud,  it'll probably break,  whereas a steelie will bend.  Steelies are usually cheaper too,  so it hurts less in the wallet when you do bash one.  Thats why I changed my mind over the aluminums when I got mine, I wanted the lighter weight too.

I always am a fan of steel wagon wheels. Wheel selection will also depend on what you want to do. Aluminum looks good but is softer, we bent a set on a jeep cherokee on the beach. Steel is cheaper harder. I don't think would ever really notice the weight. And if your like me, I could loose 20lbs, and save weight that way better than spending more money.

I have cheap unique wheels series 42 steel "D"-windows. I went with these ones because they're slightly thinner metal, possibly makin them slightly lighter than regular wagons, but I think freeriders98 is right, you probably won't notice much difference in weight between the steel and aluminum, unless you get real light aluminums. The bigger tires make up a lot of the weight.

Thanks Topheavy, I almost went with 15X10' but I already had the spacers and when I finally do the SPOA, I am only going to 32X11.50 M/T's.
