Oxygen Sensor Quandary
« on: September 01, 2004, 12:40:51 AM »
Ok, according to the parts listing on Napa online a 93 16v Sidekick uses the same O2 sensor as my 94 8v.  However my 16v is missing its sensor and the wiring is different.  It looks like the 16v has a 4 wire connector and my 8v has 3.  Has anyone got any idea of what the deal might be?

Ok ive had an idea.  Can someone with a Califonia emission 16v look at their wiring for me?  A pic of the connector would be nice.  I need to know what the shape is.

Thanks

My 8V has a 4 wire sensor

Yellow/Blue Tracer - 02 sensor +ve
Pink/Black Tracer - Heater -ve
Black/Green Tracer - O2 sensor earth + screen
Blue/Black Tracer - Heater +ve

I would guess that the 3 wire doesn't have a seperate earth for the O2 sensor.
