I think everyone on this site have all drooled at one time or another over that rig of yours.  Are the Calmini body lift and bumpers actually available to us mere mortals now?  Their website says they've been taking pre-orders for the bumper since before I ever bought my rig.  No cynicism intended; some sites just don't get updated very often.

You not fond of the masterkit1 body lift? Have you had experience with it? Just curious as I have only installed the RRO one in the past.

You know, its odd, but if you have these questions regarding the B/L, why don't you ask the posers over at Mastercrap2 since they made it?   ???

To my knowledge, it never materialized.  However, the best person to speak with on that would be Dave K. at Calmini.  Timing was everything with there product development.  They were fast outta the box to make stuff with the GV platform was released.  Problem was, the GV/XL wasn't cheap, and didn't attract the "I want $4000 worth of off-road bit" crowd.  The market was SLOOOOW to sell GV stuff.

Thats changing as these are 10 year old now, and and in 2nd and 3rd owner hands.  Follow up with them and hopefully they will release this stuff.

The 3" B/L was VERY complete.  The lift blocks are billet aluminum.  The kit had all parts, shifter extension, and a complete replacement strut brace (not extenders).  The one problem would be price.  This isn't a RRO-cheapy Sidekick lift used for the GV.  Its a system.  With the replacement strut brace, I would consider a $300 to $400 price to be about right.  That's not cheap.

As for the bumper, get a group of 10 together and let me know.  I'll see if they will begin production.

Not personally, but another put one on and it ended up being the Sidekick lift.  I take it by other posts that the shifters don't come with extensions, and the stock strut brace is reused either by hacking away at the sheet metal or by extensions (which isn't strong/safe).

The GV has quirks than make body lifting a challenge compared to a Sammy or Kicker.  Things like steering extensions, bumper relocate brackets and a complete replacement strut braces really jack up the production and retail costs of such a kit.

Was checking out their site.  Are they for real in charging $1100 for coil spacers, a body lift and 2 skid plates? :o  If so, Aftermarket4x4 has the same skids for ~ $300 for the pair?  If so, that makes for some EXPENSIVE coil spacers and body blocks.

All right, it's been a while since I checked this thread. Obviously, some toes were stepped on but that's ok, it's the internet, not your best friend's wedding, and I'm sure we can all get past this like proper adults.

To solve my transfer case shifter problem, I extended it 2" by cutting it near the top and welding an extension in. Then to eliminate boot-induced bind, I took my angle grinder to the metal bracket that the plastic console is clipped in to. I just ground down the lip that sticks up behind the t-case shifter boot, and this gave it a bit more room to work with.

I tried trimming the plastic behind the tranny shifter stick but that didn't work so I will take Lance's advice and bend the shifter.

Thanks for the tips

Hmm, you're going to be cutting it awefully close with 33's even with 6 inches of lift.

Remember, XL wheel opening (especially the rear, are larger than the GV.  Removing the sill plastic foo-foo helps alot too.

but still, 33"s will be tight and will rub some on the tight stuff.

I have an XL with 245/75/16's or 31ish tires with 3" sup. and 2" bd lift. This is about all the rear opening will take.  But now that it's not my DD I'm going to shout for 33 or 34's as well  >:D
God what a can of worms this is going to open to get 33 on it too.

Nope.  Its as simple as a set of Toys.  ;)

Since its not a DD, why not?  I saw a post saying TT is making a 1.5x planetary reducer to go between the tranny and t-case.  That would solve the gearing issue.

And your XL on 37's would be tit.
