Help!!! Sammy tire rub

I just finished my Calmini S/R install. My tires are 265/70-15 on 8" wheels 1.5' spacers to bring total backspace to2.5". The tires rub when turning. I trimmed the lip off of the inner fender. It helped some. I am assuming it will be worse if I hit a bump while turning withe the S/R. Where do I go from here? If I remove the spacers will this help? I hate to waste $500 on my new 265's. Will I need to get 235's to make this work?

although a body lift might also help.

As for wheel rub on the frame, only a deeper offset will help there.  The use of Wheel spacers is a point of debate.  Many (myself included) think that buying wheels with the backspacing that you need is safer than installing wheel spacers.  Your choice on that...

265/70R15s work out to about 29.6 x 10.4 inch tires (8" rims seem about right).  It is generally considered that around 2" of lift is required to run 30 x 9.5 inch tires without reduced backspacing. 235/75R15s are about 28.9 x 9.3 inch tires.

There's a lot of information around, and NO shortage of opinions.

for starters.  The OBH site tends to be a bit optimistic as to what really does fit, as compared to the reports of others.  Virtual or body lift is an option as well. I've never done this. I chose OME springs and slightly taller shackles for my daily driver, planning for 29x9.5" tires someday (soon).

Some additional thoughts: Did you really get the expected 2" of lift?  Are your springs old and saggy?  Zero offset 8" rims would have about 4.5" of backspacking;  see:  http://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html.

I believe I got the 2" of lift on th front. Maybe only 1" on rear. Yes the springs are saggy. I don't want to lift it any higher (the wife drives it). I am thinking of taking off the 1.5" wheel spacers. If that doesn't work I guess I will have to get the 235's. I hate to do that the 265's look really sharp!!

They are hitting the lower fender (behind them) while turning.

BFH method has been used with great success.

I would pull the wheel spacers off first and give it a try.  Otherwise look at getting some 1.5" lift springs.  An RUF (Rear spring Up Front) conversion might fix the problem as well, but then you might rub on the front of the fender.  :)

Ive had rubbibg problems cured by redrilling the center hole in spring perch to the rear 1/2 "to 1"&that moves the axle foward... cheep & can be moved back if you have any issues
If I have to understand don't bother explaining
