How do I...
« on: April 24, 2008, 10:05:07 PM »
Hello.  New to Suzuki, got an 03 XL7 5 months ago.  Love it.  And I'm pretty sure it needs more power.  Without porting and polishing the intake and heads, how are you getting more power?  BTW, I don't care about gas.  As others are trying to save it, I'm trying to figure out how to burn more.  Thanks.

I went low restriction exhaust (cat, muffler, 2-1/4" pipes), but it only bought me a couple 10ths to 60.  Not that I wouldn't do it again.

A custom Y-pipe would probably do a lot of good.  There's a serious restriction in the stock one right before the coupler.

I also understand that transplanting the intake manifold and injectors from the 2.5 (both are larger) does good things.
