Replacing Front Seal 89 Kick
« on: March 14, 2008, 06:25:26 PM »
Anyone ever replaced the front seal on a 1.6 engine, and do you need to replace the front bearing when you replace the seal?  any suggestions for this process?

a front seal on a 1.3L = pulling timing belt gear off.  the seal is easy to replace then.
no need to replace a bearing that i can think of.
i'm sure it's similar w/your engine.
suggest considering service due stuff at the same time- like how old is the timing belt?
a good service manual is helpfull.
