92 rear axle into 97?
« on: January 30, 2008, 08:06:43 PM »
I'm quite certain already that this will work, just need some confirmation that a rear axle from a 1992 Sidekick 2 door with 5.12's will work in a 1997 Sidekick 4 door with 5.12's. Both don't have ABS so that's not an issue.
97 Sidekick 4door 5 speed, 1.5 spacer lift, 2" body lift, CJ rims, locked rear, 31's, 4:1 low <SOLD>
01 Vitara 2.0L 5 speed, 2.5" Calmini lift, 2" body lift, Sidekick rims, locked rear, 31's, 4:1 low, 5.13 diffs <SOLD>
03 XL7 2.7 5 speed, 4.5" AE lift with OME springs, 2" AE body lift, 5.13 diffs, 3:1 low, 235/80R17 BFG AT's on Ultra 17x8 with 1" spacers, skid plates, Balmer Fab front bumper

It should work as long as both are three link, I think they went four link in 98 or so, the axles will be diffrent but I think that the earlyer axles are stonger anyway even with the four bolts holding the drum on instead of the large flange, I'm running 94 axles in my x-90 it's a 96, has the same brakes to.
