Need new oil pan
« on: November 04, 2004, 07:17:33 AM »
and our off dealer can't find one , even in Japan there's nothing in stock ( his words ) . Or we have to wait 2 - 3 months  :'( for it .
Our Grand vit 2.0 is in the dealer's hands since 20/9 , still waranty ( 6/2002) and 27000km . There was a noise in the engine caused by the timing chain tensioner . They also found a sticky gel in the oil , so they had to degrease the hole engine ,but they have degreased the oil pan to long . The inner coating has come lose .(Long story , nearly 2 months without vita  :(  )

How is it possible that there are spare parts ( oil pan ) for an engine that's only 2 years old ?

And knows somebody a quicker way to get a new one ??

Since it's under warranty, how about they take one off of one of the models for sale in their lot, then they can wait two months to sell it.
