Are the 31's in bad shape, why not not just run them as they are?

You could always just keep them for when you go wheeling if turn out to be a good off road tire.

keeping them for offroad only is what i was thinking. i do have 4 but the fifth is only a shitty good year so i will take that off and see what the wheels actually are. does anyone know if a 235 will fit on a 15x8 or 9. they are alot more chunky than my hercules so they might be a nice offroad only tire.

A 235 will fit in 9" wide rim.  The tread will be slightly narrower than the side wall at the bead.

Bias ply tires suck, but the free wheels alone are mucho cool!My suburban runs 235's on factory 15x8 aluminum wheels.

I dunno hard to beat bias TSL's on the trail (at like 4psi) ...

But for a DD (especially where it gets cold) ... ok that sux.

GOOD SCORE bus  ;D
Mate, I used to run those tyres off road years ago and they kick ass in the mud. A bit rough riding on the road or any hard surface though  :-\ , but who cares about that when you blitz through a huge hole that people have been struggling with all day LOL - and in a Zuk  >:D

Keep em for the mud and run your 235's on some DD rims  ;)

Just my 2c

i am haveing a hard time deciding....the new rims i want for the stance but the tires are also pretty shitey. i thnik i will end up sticking to my origianl plan and end up using the rims and my Mt's and throw the old tires away. they are really in bad condition. and i do not offrad as much as i want so justifying the once every couple of months change over is hard to do. i think if i got out more than i do i would keep them and abuse until they are completely dead.
