Transmission Noise
« on: July 12, 2007, 06:29:17 PM »
The transmission on my tracker is making lots of noise, and pops out of 4th gear. I guess what I am wondering is how much they go for in the junkyard in decent shape, or if someone on this forum has one they'd like to get rid of and is located in southern California (I just moved to ventura) I thought about rebuilding it, but when I changed the oil, there was a piece of a washer on the drain plug magnet, and there was lots of metal flakes in the oil, so I am pretty sure the gears themselves have damage, along with the bearings.
Runnin' it stock with 225/75R15s and an unmodified 8valve TBI motor (I need a doug thoroley header and a cam) (more power) (1.6 liters of madness) (vroom + sewing machine sounds)

It is 4wd. Will a 2wd transmission bolt onto the 4wd t-case?
