Is this a good deal??? Help please
« on: July 17, 2007, 09:19:39 AM »
I found a wrecked 1998 sidekick  sport with 120,000 miles on it. I want the third members  out of it for my 1996 lifted 2 door. Will the 5.12's work well with a three speed auto and 31-32  inch tires? Also is $300 a fair price  for the both of them.He guarantees them to be good! Thanks

sounds like a good deal to me ...

the sport should have the 1.8l engine to boot!

and yes, 5.12's behind a 3spd auto are perfect (even gets the speedo back to normal with 31's)

but the front of the engine is smashed

smashed how? ...

if the block, head and intake are ok, then you could strip the 3rds and probably make money to someone who has a sammy looming for a transplant (especially if you have the entire rig with harness/ecu) ...
