I need front struts. As far as trimming my spacers down by cutting them on a bandsaw, not gonna happen. A bandsaw will not cut the plastic I use, it will just melt and ruin the blade. You could trim them down but turn them down in a lathe and do it on slow speed. the plastic I use is abrasion resistant so it does not want to cut or sand it just deflects.

hey jeff...i see in your signature you use 2in coil spacers...how has everything been holding up?  did you drop the diff?

I only have the 2" in the rear. I still use 1.5" in the front. The bigger ones in back made it look just a little taller and I wanted to test my new 2" spacers. So far everything looks great, I would like to lift the front more too but I'm not sure I could even get the 2" in up front (as you already know it is TIGHT). As far as the cv's they still look great with the 1.5"up front. If you still want to swap 2-2" for 2-1.5" I will do it. Just send me like $10 to cover postage and I'll fire them off to you.

hey jeff, i'll get back to you on the spacer swap you mentioned.  Theres no more noise and i went wheelin this morning and everything held up well.  But this time next week i'll get back to you on that.  Anyway, what kind of custom strut spacers do you use? I flipped the mount but that is not enough droop cause i can only jack the front end up like maybe two inches before the wheels come off the ground

I just copied the strut spacer some other company made. It looks just like the coil spacer but it has 3 little holes around it and one bog hole in the center.

Digger..

Many people use 2in spacers up front..John1974 has 3in lift coils up there with no diff drop and no problems...i guess im just one of the unlucky ppl in this world

I also know of one person that has 3" coil spacers shoved in the front and back as well as huge strut extensions and he didn't bother to lower the diff at all. That Tracker's CV's lasted about 3 trail days total and I've never seen it back since. I'm not talking out of my a$$, I am speaking from personal experience. If you lift the front more than 2" to 2-1/2" total (or a max of a 1-1/2" front spacer) without lowering the diff, it's just a matter of time before you have problems.  How soon the problems will show up depends on the age and wear of your CV's. If you have well-greased like-new ones, they might work just fine for a year or more at an extreme angle, but if you have the factory original ones with 100K miles or more on them, they might only last a month...

I may add mine is only like this til I drop the front diff.  Also to be honest the cv angles arent as bad as you would think.  But still going to drop the diff when I have the parts :)

Hey john..i think having to drop the diff should be based on the way you drive your rig.  Like me, i dont wheel to hard because this is the only vehicle i have to drive.  If it breaks something major, then im screwed.  My cv angles arent that bad either.  Can you turn lock to lock with out and problems from your cvs?
