that is why im here! ;D

ok, did a little work today...

trimmed my bumpstops. only cut an inch off each cause the taper ended an inch up them, and i didnt want to cut past that...

i used a cut off wheel on my angle grinder. worked great!

then i took it out in the yard and flexed it on my home made RTI ramp. ;D

that is as much as i could get without use of a locker. ;D  i measured for shocks, and the stock ones worked for the rear, and the fronts are about 2" too short, but i am gonna use em for now till i can get to the parts store and figure out what i need...

i am really disappointed about the rear, so i am gonna have to figure out what i need to do to get longer travel shocks back there... >:(

one thing that sucked is when i got to the fab shop to pick my zuk up, this is what i saw on the back. :( here you can also see my finished bumpstop.

this is part of my problem. i aint to thrilled about it. i have a spidertrax rear upper mount, but since i moved the axle back, i think i am gonna have problems with interference from the skid plate...

i am thinking about buying a set of hoops off ebay and mount them on the outside of my frame and outboard some lower mounts  too to get the travel i need. i know this is done on coil setups, but how will it work for my setup? i will have to get some 2" backspaced wheels right?

anyway, i also got the other light holes cut out of my bumper, and got my lights installed. i am gonna go with the outside lights, but autozone only had 2 of each, so i am running some standard lights for now till they get more in.

this pretty much finishes me up on the build for now till i can get my motor swap started...

i have to do something about the shocks, but that is about it. looks like my driveshafts are gonna be ok, but that may change once my shocks get worked out...

next step motor swap, then finishing up my armor

then maybe a brake upgrade

then who knows...

ok, friday night the 1.3 locked up on me and threw me into a frenzy to get this motor out and prepped, so a 36 hour weekend with friends ended with a tracker 1.6L installed in my truck. while in there, i also painted the inside of the front clip, and cleaned up all the brake fluid from around the master cylinder and repainted firewall and brake booster. we did have some problems as discussed in this thread, but we have it sorted out for now.

here are some pics:

Brett admiring the new motor. ;D

Daniel making sure its gonna line all up and not scratch the new paint! ;D

then it was off to the exhaust shop for new tubes... ;D  2" pipe bolted to the thorley and out thru a magnaflow for a nice mellow sound. ;)

then i started working on my half doors. got the passenger side stripped...

and painted...

tomorrow i will try to get the u joints replaced in the driveshafts so i can play rice eater at the red light. lol  j/k

a buddy named richard (he goes by bama zuk on most boards. i think he is on here to) made them, but all he did was shorten the stock inner latch arm and relocate the inner latch. i have no latch on the outside.
