my RTI
« on: March 25, 2007, 08:10:54 AM »
i was just wondering what you guys think i scored?

stock wheel base.
20 degree ramp.

i was thinking, after i had looked at the pics, that i may have been able to go a little more, as my tyres were not off the ground yet. i had to do the ramp in 2WD only, as i have broken a right hand side AXLE, not CV joint.

so i guess when i'm fixed, i should do it again and see how much higher i can go up.

 :-[ :-[ :-[

yeah, its looking pretty sad these days.

every year, we get a shite load of rain up my way, and trying to stay on the track and away from the trees on the trial proves very hard. especially when you need to do a 6 point turn on a tiny trail to go back and recover someone else.

other than that, my vit's doing pretty good for itself. it still sorta together (only just).

Dont know what type of RTI score the Jeep would get.  Got a little more flex than in the pics.  And the Tracker don't do all that bad.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Frontwards 700-750
Backwards 750-800

Just a guess though. ;D

You get zero all the way around because you were using the wrong side of the Vit.   ;D

lets see if i can post this...
i think i got it.  i
it says on here that on 20 degree ramps that you take (wheel base) x (.342) = total articulation

i think that you should score somewhere around 1080? is that right or am i reading that wrong?
im probably completely wrong and if i am im sorry then.
its supposed to be for a samurai
That sh*t'll be alright

"stock"

well, i didn't do the measurements, but i've tried my best to convert the measurements so that you guys can under'ma'stand what i'm going on about.

ok, forwards, i drove about 79.4" up the ramp
and reverse i drove about 83.1" up the ramp

and maybe with a little more to go til my back tyre lifts off the ground.

see what you guys come up with.
