I fitted the 413 intake to the 1.6 in the pickup. I have matched the ports but I didn't spend a long time on it because I intend to fit the 1.6 TBI setup in the spring. I didn't use any specialist tools just an electric drill, flexidrive and a small cutting tool.

1.3 manifold with 1.6 gasket

The holes in the 1.6 gasket were a bit large so I opened out a 1.3 gasket to match the ports on the 1.6

The 1.3 manifold has a waterway running down one side of the port. Its at the top in this pic and has already been ground away a bit.

I ground the port down to the bottom of the casting mark around the waterway so the end result is a bit of a 'D' shape, it could probably do with a little filling on the carb side of the waterway to make it a less pronounced bump.

Like I said I didn't spend too long on the manifold. Apart from the problem with the waterway I don't think the manifold would be restrictive. If I had a spare manifold I would grind the waterway out to see just how thin the wall is in this area, maybe the port could be made round.
If I wasn't going TBI I would stick a 38/38 DGAS Weber on there, its a pretty common carb over here and I reckon it would give a good power boost.
