Best Torque wrench size????
« on: December 26, 2006, 11:22:52 AM »
Hello,

I got a torque wrench for Christmas and its a 1/2" clicker w/ a scale of 20-120 ft/lbs.
Is this the best size for a Sammy or is there a better size?

Thanks,

T

I guess my question here is that there is a smaller 3/8" wrench that reads 10-75 pounds too.
Are there alot a times when I would need this bigger wrench or would the smaller one do??

it just depends what you are going to use it for. i have a 1/2" clicker that goes from 20 - 200 ft/lbs(i think) and an electronic 3/8" one that goes from 5 - 100 ft/lbs. the big one mainly gets used for doing wheels and the electronic one does all my engine work.

I have a 1/2" clicker that goes from 10-150 ft. lbs.  Works good for 99% of the stuff I need to torque.  I need to pick me up a 1/4" drive in. lb. one for the other 1%.
