Has anyone ever tried to adapt a Holley 2bbl to their 1.6L? ;D

nothing wrong with that man, im sure it would work. if you can get it to mount up. then its all tuning it for that might engine.

Not familiar with Holleys, something like this?

http://www.izook.com/tech/samurai/engine/holley/holley.htm

You would probably have to make an adapter plate to fit a TBI manifold, a Sammy manifold can be opened up to fit on a 1.6 8V but its not ideal. You end up with a kind of D shape because of the oilways. What size carb are you considering? The cross sectional area of a 32/32 Weber is roughly the same as a 1.6 Throttle body and I suspect the throttle body would flow better, it looks 'cleaner'

I have a Holley 5200 two barrel on the 1.6 Mazda motor in my Festy. It is pretty much the same thing as a Weber 32/36...  it has a homemade adapter plate, I don't have any great pictures.. but it works pretty darned well... so I would think it wouldn't be a big deal to adapt one to a Zuk 1.6...

The 5200 was used on a lot of engines.. this one actually came off of an old Vega... with the iron duke in it.

They are readily available and not too expensive..  easily tuned

Hard to see in this pic... sorry

What is it you do to modify carbs so they dont flood out when you hit a steep slope?
i have read seen things on altering them but im not sure what to do.

on the weber conversion for a samurai, you turn the carb around backwards so it will flutter downhill, but will never die uphill

Rhinoman;
VERY INTERESTING!!!   ;D  Cost is definitely a pain in the butt right now.  I am trying to get HP improvements without major dents in the ol' wallet.
These systems do look very good.  I saved it maybe one day.
