Wheel Bearing Question
« on: September 29, 2006, 10:55:12 AM »
96 Tracker 4X4

When I pulled the bearings from my hub, both the inner and outer bearings were separate tapered roller bearings.  However the replacement I received from an import part store and what the Chevy dealer wanted to sell me look like the picture below.

Are there two individual tapered bearings in this replacement bearing that I have to press out or do I have to press something out of the hub and press this whole bearing replacement back in?

The pictures in the manual show individual bearings being put in the hub.

dumb question but I purchased the gm bearings if you remove the plastic spacer thing in the center do you get two bearing cones? Worked for me!  If not then just press the whole thing in to the hub.
