Started My Project
« on: January 26, 2005, 10:34:47 AM »
Well my samurai has been sitting for awhile and I've just started working on it so it will be ready for spring.  Unfortunately I lost the key.  But yesterday I fixed that.  I installed a push button starter switch and installed a hidden toggle to turn on the ignition and accessories.  I removed the old key switch so I don't have a steering lock to worry about either.
Today I got a pair of plastic racing buckets and a hood pin set from Summit.  It's like christmas.  I also have some Rocky Road spring perches, t-case mounts and a shifter fix kit waiting to be put in.  Soon I'll order my SPOA kit from SpiderTrax and get the OTT Stage 2 steering from Rocky Road.
I've also decided that I'm going to run 32X9.50 TSL's.  And rather than cut off the back of the body and build on a bed I'm just going to fab up and wall behind the front seats.  I'm also planning to put in a 12gallon fuel cell and most definately a roll cage and have the rear end welded by a buddy.

Getting exicted.
Andrew

I know I need pictures.  Soon
