Well, is you 92 2-door an 8-valve, or a 16 valve?
I'll talk about a few different aspects of this:
Ride comfort:
My 95 2-door isn't real comfortable for long rides - even before I had the roll cage installed, it's just a bit cramped.
But it's not much different than my 95 4-door. The handling is a little different, because of the longer wheelbase, but rider comfort is about the same. The Sidekick Sport has the frame widened a bit, but actual seat of the pants comfort is only going to be slightly better - even my Grand Vitara isn't THAT much more comfortable.
Power:
You're running an 8-valve, with a whopping 80 HP, so you're gonna love the step up to the 1.8 - what's it got, 120 HP? 50% more power! Nice!
Off-road "buildability":
If you want to really build the rig, with 3rd party stuff (like the Calmini 6" suspension/body lift), stick with the 92 - it won't work on a Sidekick Sport.
