I made mine about even with the bottom of the axle tube. By having it hang down like you do, you lose the offset housing/drivetrain advantage. on the other end (front) I used a shackle that put the traction bar end in line with the two spring mounts. I now keep my springs together and didn't lose any articulation. I'll try to get a pic.
