Do you Know if this nedds to be on the engine took it off to do the belts hooked the 2 lines together. It seems to run fine for now any possible problems with this.

it will probably cause your check engine light to come on with an evap leak code. what it does is filter fumes from the gas tank before releasing them into the air. should not afect the way your vehicle runs.
