skid plates. don't think the fender flares would hold up to the abuse.

I had to cut slots into the integrated front mud flaps when installing the RRO rock rails.  At the rear, I was able to squash down the molding in front of the rear wheels and install the rail over it.  Seriously considered just removing the moldings entirely, but I wasn't really prepared at the time to live with the mounting holes around the fender or to get into removing all the matching molding from the bumpers.  Would've meant more parts lying around.  Got enough of that going on already..

'03 ZR2 2dr Tracker, '02 XL-7 drivetrain and electrcs
XL-7 front coils
1.5" rear coil spacers
Monroe 32316 shocks w/2" extenders
235/70-16 Bridgestone Destination A/Ts on stock XL-7 Alloys RRO Rock Rails (Presently removed, as they rusted to all hell; all the bolts were rusted to dust.  Real nice, RRO...) http://www.trivia-nights.com

ya, plastic parts..  i busted off both of my rear mudflaps/fender flares on a rocky run over the weekend, just leave a couple little holes in the plastic rear bumper, barely noticable, going to pop the front flare crap off the front bumper to match it up.  as for the front flaps they continue to pop out of place and such so i plan to trim the bottom off so this stop happening because it seems possible that this might eventually cause some damage to the front fenders..  to be honest it looks better without the mudflaps anyway!
