Could someone please list the Fluid Capacities for Sidekick
« on: March 25, 2006, 11:58:27 PM »
If somebody could please quickly list the fluid capacities for the 1989-1996 Sidekick that would be great. It would be awsome if someone could list the capacities for every fluid that is in the machine.

Thank you

Also a great thing would be the best weight motor oil.  i get conflicting oil weights from the owners manual, Haynes guide and pep boys...all 3 say different.  so which is it?

5W30 is most reccomended. in really hot weather climates 10W30 works too.

i use 5W30 synthetic.

I have the capacities and recommended oil grades from the Owners Handbook listed on my site under Tech Info. I will have to check and see if they tally with the FSM.

I was living in the BC Interior [ Hot climate ] so I was running Amsoil 20w-50 in the motor for added protection. I also had Amsoil synthetic in all the DIFF'S and the T-CASE AND TRANS for the cold temps that I was expecting to run in. I am not running anything at this time because I was forced to sell my machine.
