Building a tracker
« on: March 15, 2006, 03:41:38 PM »
I'm new to four wheeling but it didnt take me long to figure out I wanted something bigger! So here I go Attempting to put toy axels in with no or little knowledge. I wanted a longer wheel base so I moved the front out 5-6 in. and I'm going back 2 in. with the rear.
If this is not a good idea let me here some input! thanks

I have done a few things wrong allready! I need to move my lower control arms up at the frame and down at the axel. and my four link set is giving me some trouble with the oil pan.

Sitting Baja!!!  Did you get the steering done up?

Moving the front forward like that is real nice on the rocks; offers a great approach angle.

For as far forward as the front diff is, it looks like the steering will have to be on the rear side of the axle instead of up front.  Seems like it would be way in front of the steering box.

It is a problem! I am either going to turn the steering arm 180 or go with a ram steer. hopefully the 180 will do the trick. I am going to have to loose the cross bar between frame rails though.
