Quik Third member question?????

Quik Third member question?????

Are the front and rear third members the same just different guts? can i take a front third housing and pinion and put my rear ring and spider gears in it?

I believe the only difference on the Samurai is the spider gears having a different spline count.  If you swap your front axels out for the larger spline you could have the same front and rear diff.  :)

I'm not positive, but I believe the rear axle shafts are 26 spline and fronts are 22 or 24 spline.  All you have to do is use the original spiders from the rear and put them in the front third member and you're good...

cool thanks, little late on the advice though auction ended on ebay for front third housing. oh well
