I noticed my driver side motor mount was broke, and wanted to go muddin. So call local stores and no store in town had a motor mount. I started looking around my garage and found a small block dodge dart motor mount that worked great. Had to drill out the holes to 1/2" (has studs on both sides), and best part is that they are alot cheaper then the $40+ that I was quoted. Just wanted to pass this on if you are in a jamb or just a cheap skate like me. :D

40 bucks for a motor mount for a sidcekick is cheap! brand new that is, when i needed one i was qouted from 3 places and the cheapes was 185 bucks, so i went ot a wrecker and paid 20

Some years back, i needed some mounts for my sami, and by searching the net, found that old dodge and chrysler V8 mounts could fit. I found some for about $6 each and bolted them in after drilling out the main hole and getting nuts to match the mounts. Cheap as chips. These are always in stock at auto parts stores.
Now i never did try them with a kick mount though. Not sure what the size difference was, but sounds like it could work as long as it fits pretty well.

This is my solution for a cheap set of motor mounts. Cost about $20 for both sides, including the steel, bushings, and bolts ;D
