Title: battery issues

ok i have replaced the battery on my 87 sami 2 times in 4 days and it keeps dying and want hold a charge even after sitting pn the charger. obviously i have a short but could any one give me a place to look. could the alternator cause this even if it will run on alternator ower alone.

If you have a test light put it between the positive battery cable and the battery, start disconnecting things and pulling fuse's till you find out what it is.
