I need some help boys, the control relay located beside the ECM is buzzing and the Trackick won't start. The EGR VSV, the fuel injector, and the fuel pump all seem to be buzzing the same way as the control relay. I was driving along fine, I turned the trackick off for 30 seconds to do something and it wouldn't start back up.
What is the problem?
I opened the relay and there is not burnt parts and the contacts look good. When I remove the control relay the EGR VSV and fuel injector still buzz/click the same way as when the control relay is installed. All fuses are fine, I'm stumped.
Everything else seems to be functioning correctly too, (lights, starter, gauges)
As a side note I got a tow truck to tow my trackick home, when backing it into the driveway the trackick fell off the truck tow truck's hydraulic lift. Front bumper and passenger side front fender damaged. I need to get her running to get the damaged appraised and compensated. Tow truck driver was appologetic but I'm feeling a little F***ed right now.
Help, help, help......please. Any trouble shooting help would be great.

Sounds like the main relay is on the fritz.
That controls power to all the rest of them, so I would expect them to be making the same buzzing.
Now, I can't tell you exactly where that relay IS - I just know where it is in the schematics in the FSM (I've been looking at those, getting ready to replace my ECM with a MegaSquirt computer).

Maybe your battery is almost dead? How bright are your headlights?

Battery has lots of juice, turns over like crazy.
I've looked at the schematics as well. You refered to "the main relay", is that the same thing as the control relay?
I've tried to get the control relay at a few local parts stores, they say go to dealer. I think a dealer should be able to test the relay and replace it if need be. Maybe I'll try to get one from a local scrappie and see if it does the trick. Any other help would be useful.
In the mean time I'll review my schematics and look for the "main relay". I'm glad I've got my Honda 929 to get around on.

hey it could be the ecm its self there are capacitors in side it
that degrade I have heard this from many mechanics
if you open up the ecm and there is residue on the board then thats what it is
two ways to fix buy a new ecm
or go to you nearest radioshack/ electronics warehouse
and purchase the new capacitors and sawder them in but they have to be the same type and
make sure they face in the same direction

When I was reinstalling my engine in the Sidekick ('93 16 valve), I forgot to attach a couple of ground wires. The result was a lot of clicking of relays (most notable the fuel pump under the dash on the driver's side) and no engine running. Cranked great, but not a single ignition.
Thus I believe you hava a broken ground wire under the hood. Assuming a 16-valve here, check the 4 wires that ground on the intake casting on the passenger's side towards the firewall. There are two ring connectors with 2 wires each held down by a 10mm bolt.
