The last time I went to the mountains, it was just me and the 40lb dog, and a minimal ammount of equipment. I was suprised at the stuff I went over with no draging. Yesterday, I went on a short trip with 2 brother-inlaws, and Father inlaw, and same dog. Although the dog gets to run along when we get into 4low, she dont like to ride the rough stuff. About 550 to 600 more lbs. The home made receiver hitch that came with this rig was not made with clearance in mind. It would drag a few times. Should that little bite of weight make that much diffrence? I also know now that it is time for new shocks! The winter projects are starting to show themselves. Any suggestions on brand of shocks?

You could always add a 2"inch spacer to the rear.
I know when I load my 2dr down with everything I think I need plus a 32"inch spare tire.
The back squats way down and I added a 3/4 inch spacer.
Seems to help a little bit.
BTW: I have the calmini 3"inch lift.
Do you have any more lift to yours?
body?
suspinion?

I noticed a difference depending on the number of passengers in my Tracker. It is for this reason I am contemplating removing the backseat(or at least half of it)...
