Title: What is the best power steering gear to run on the samurai with big tires?
Post by: dsumers on August 16, 2005, 07:12:08 PM
I'm in the process of another sammy build up.  I would like to hear some opinions on the best steering gear to run.  I'm using a high pinion dana 44 up front.  I have heard the kick setup is too weak. I've been thinking about using a saginaw.  I  will be running 35" or bigger tires, haven't decided yet.  Some pictures of stearing gears would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

There are a few companies that make kits to install the IFS box onto a solid-axle 'yota frame that includes plates and sleeves. You could probably get one of those and make it work with the Tracker frame.
