I wanted to re-invigorate an old thread that didn't have a good answer. Regarding my now brittle tailgate cap on my 1998 Suzuki Sidekick, I sorely need a new tailgate top cap. Hwy 83 Suzuki offers an aluminum channel that must be painted that probably comes closest to solving the problem. But, I wonder if there is an abs plastic one designed for another truck that could be trimmed lengthwise to fit, resembling the original cap. The small trucks from the 1990s had a fairly narrow tailgate as I remember, but I would hate to order one that didn't work out.
So, has anyone found anything that will work as a tailgate cap for the Suzuki Sidekick?

Not to my knowledge... The HWY83 option may be the best one.
