might help to add something about the year+make of what you're talking about ...
"this side" ... uhhh (oh I see now, "right front") ..
a trac or sami?
auto hubs or manual?
4wd only or 2wd too?
only when turning?
can you describe the "crazy noise"?

sorry about the lack of info at first..
sidekick 98 clothtop
4wd manual hubs
makes the noise when moving in any direction..
driver side only - front.
really bizarre noise --- like it is rubbing or you know the noise a toy car makes when you pull it backwards and let it go the car takes off... that is similiar to the noise
its not in 4wd right now and the hubs say they are free... does it when it is in 4wd too.

My first guess could be bearings.
Yes, Sometimes they go bad.
They could've gotting dry.
Or
The bearing could be loose. That happened to me and it would squeel. I thought it was the brakes.

My 98 4wd manual hub Kick makes a similar noise. I only notice it with the window down. The scraping on mine is due to warped front rotors dragging the brake pads. It is much louder and more pronounced then on most cars. Once I get the big tires and lift under it I'm going to switch to 4-dr stuff.
