Title: Water temp gauge erratic on my 95 tracker
Post by: nsrrider on July 07, 2018, 07:09:33 AM
hi guys, new to the tracker world and my service manual has not arrived yet. My temp gauge sometimes works, usually just erratic and sometimes does not move at all. Where should I start on this? THANKS!

When that happened on my '96 Tracker, it was corrosion where the wire meets the connector. It just needed to be trimmed back & a new connector soldered on. :)

Another possible cause is low coolant level - the sensor measures coolant temperature, so if there's no coolant, there's no reading.
