Title: FELT PAD GASKET ON KNUCKLE SEALS SUZUKI SJ413

  WHAT IS THE PURPOSE  of the felt gasket.....on the seal kits....is it to stop the metal plates from cutting into the rubber seals ?????
     i hope someone replies as this sight is really slow on responses...

Your guess is a good one for sure. Another thought is that the felt keeps a small amount of lubrication present and acts as a secondary water seal.

Are you thinking of running with out it?
