Hello Matt - Glad you're in... Emails and a thread discussion here will pop up probably in October.
-Eric
-
OK! Let's get started on this event build... Who wants to do what? I'm interested in checking out the newly finish Rim Butte trail(s) one of the days but other than that... wide open.
Thoughts on where to go?
Should we do a campground activity this year?
-Eric
-
I'm in for sure!
Will be in the sidekick, so I'm game to check out the Rim Butte trail, but I'll most likely watch/recover as I need the 'kick in one piece for the 5 hour drive home.
-
;)
Oh come on... let's rock!

Saturday Morning Yoga.
Yes...

I'm not happy about it, but I am unable to make it this year anymore. I started a new job a month ago and can't get the time off.
I just finished all the work on the samurai too, spring over lift, engine rebuild, power steering.
Hopefully I'll just have to see y'all on the trails another time.
-
I'm not happy about it either... I'll be wrapping up my current gig in Nashville. Missed it, by one week!
So... does that mean there will not be Saturday morning yoga?
-
Yoga for sure matey!
-Eric
-
I'm in, head over Thurs. Camp activity: Coyote Call contest. Or just default to model rockets and blowing $#!t up.
-
I'm in. No Suzuki, but we're going to attempt to bring our '89 Mitsubishi Delica van. Should be there on Friday (taking the day off).
This will be its first off-road-ish trip. It's all stock, sans 30x9.50 wheels. Hope it starts in the cold morning (we'll see!).

Set aside this weekend to get the Sidekick ready for the fall classic. Haven't cleaned it since the "last one over" trip during the fall; LOTS of Idaho/Wyoming/Utah dust in there!
No major changes this weekend; just hard wiring in a bigger inverter, replace the cell phone repeater antenna, packing some camping gear, then the usual pre-trip vehicle maintenance.
Getting excited for this year's trip! Looking forward to Thursday...
Video from last year's trip: https://youtu.be/JSR0ZwtwYzk

Getting sooper excited... Doing a test run on the new 'camp lights' atmosphere in the garage. Basically seeing how long a string of LED 'restaurant lights' will last before killing the battery. Modest 1.4A draw so I think it'll be pretty good.
Packing stuff (well unpacking) from the totes used for Last one over adventure. Dang, there's dust everywhere.
-Eric
-
Finished packing tonight! Nothing left to load, I'll be ready to roll out of here on Thursday morning.
An A/C recharge, inverter install, two new headlight housings, lots of dust removal from this summer's trips (how much of Idaho did I bring back here anyway?!), and a lot of organization.
Sidekick is mostly the same, but lots of new gadgets for glamping this year; standalone 12v power supply for my electric blanket, a couple of DJI Mavic drones, a new suite of GoPro Hero 5 cameras (including a dash cam with extended battery and an ND UV filter), a 12v water kettle for making hot soup during the day (just in case my electric oven can't make enough hot pockets), a 36v electric chain saw for firewood and trail clearing, an electric fan for fire stoking, the ability to charge 10 USB devices at the same time, a laser, tannerite, rockets, and more.
This is going to be the warmest, most 'murica fall classic ever.
-
View from the pine mountain observatory this evening. Can't wait to get there!
-
Well, time to get packed! Light snow falling should be a beautiful weekend.
