Title: couple of ?s on a Jetta diesel powered zuki.
Post by: mofoco1 on April 07, 2016, 05:58:16 PM
First x poster. Looking into purchasing a diesel powered SS for my son.  The one we are looking at has a 5:1 gear in the t- case according to 1st owner. Not sure what the axles have in them but it runs 33" Mudders. My ? is twofold,  1st to make this a daily driver, what axle gears would be optimal to get it down the freeway with no issues? 2ndly how much work would it be to replace the motor? Year of block is older than body so its a no no in CA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of our Sammy knowledgeable guys will come on-line who can provide you their thoughts on your question shortly.  I'm more of a Tracker/Sidekick guy myself and have not owned a Sammy to date.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!
