Title: Diesel swap

So I wanted to do a 4bt cummins swap into my 85 samurai but the motor is gonna be way to heavy what would be another good diesel swap motor to do?

Acme makes kits to swap Volkswagen TDI's into sammies there should be some members who have already done it and threads

I swapped a nissand sd22 diesel and 5 speed into mine.  had to move the t case back about 6 inches and shorten the back drive shaft, lengthen the front drive shaft.   drove it for about a year and then turbo charged it with parts from a turbo dodge colt i found at the local pick n pull.  was kind of a winter project but much cheaper than going the vw diesel route with the acme package.
