Title: what are the stock diffs?

I'm so confused, is the stock diff in the sidekick limited slip or open?

a automotive shop........they will prolly do better than a wood shop >:D

One that knows WTF they are doing.  Any auto shop can say they can install them.  But can they do it right?  And will they make it right, if they F up the install?  Best to ask around locally, to see what shops are good and which ones you should stay away from.

You need someone with differential experience - and I would suggest a "rebuild" whilst you're in there - new bearings, new seals, new crush tube.  Differentials require experience to get it right the first time, and getting it right the first time is crucial, because if you don't you're probably looking at new gears on the second go around.
