Title: Sidekick/Tracker top interchangeability
Post by: devo1a on April 12, 2012, 06:33:19 AM
I have a 1997 Sidekick 2dr convertible. It currently has a soft top on it and I'm looking for a removeable hard top. I've seen listing for tops with different ranges of years that they will fit, such as 1989-1995, but none that include the model year of 1997.  My question is, is there some sort of change to the body between 1989 and 1998, or will any top from that range of years fit my 1997 Sidekick?

Okay, different mounts. Will the top itself work with the right hardware, or is a whole different top required? Thank you for the reply.

Depends upon the manufacturer of the top, for a RallyTops hard top the only difference is the hardware kit.

How about OEM?

This post is intended to help keep the "experts" up to date. I purchased a hardtop that I removed from a 1993 Sidekick and put it on my 1997 Sidekick with absolutely no modifications.
