Title: Harley CV carb swap.
Post by: tyborbogdan on March 10, 2012, 09:12:55 PM
I'm having the worst time trying to pass the air quality test with my 87 samurai, it has the aisin carb on it right now, but i'm failing on the NO2. I am considering doing the CV harley carb swap. Can anyone give me a little insight on this, adaptors I would need or year of harley it needs to be from? any insight would be helpful, thanks.

petroworks has the best kit. Late 80s 40 to 44 mm Keyhin cv. From a Harley
 But it won't pass smog......
You'd have better luck with the Toyota 1200cc carb conversion....As it can be made to look fairly stock.
The cv can not.....Boxcar....

PS : Cv might give better top end , But the yota is much easier to install . The yota also out performs the Webber....

Have you checked ignition timing?
